Benjamin Kulka
Senior Research and Impact Manager (maternity cover)
Benjamin Kulka is the Senior Research and Impact Manager at the Design Council. He manages research projects into the value of Design, such as the Design Economy, and supports the development of the Design for Planet research agenda. In addition, Ben manages the development of evaluation and impact assessments across the Design Council’s programmes work.
Benjamin has previously worked in at the Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre (Creative PEC), where he managed research into the value of the creative industries and advised government stakeholders on policy, especially on R&D (Research and Development), innovation, place-based policy and creative clusters. As a Policy Adviser at the British Academy, championing the role of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, he worked in higher education and skills policy. He has previously worked as a Consultant at UNESCO in international science diplomacy.
Outside the Design Council, Benjamin is interested in urbanism, in the arts, ranging from ancient sculpture to contemporary urban landscape painting, and in post-dramatic theatre.
